Tonight we went for dinner with my sisters and brother-in-law and Daniel (our exchange student) and his friend Miguel. Â We went to a Boston Pizza that’s recently opened just outside of Burlington (Clappison’s Corners now has more than a streetlight and a Wendy’s/Tim Horton’s!).
When we sat down to read our menus, Daniel and Miguel started giggling. Â Then they asked me how the word ‘penne’ is pronounced in Canada. Â It turns out that ‘penne’ is also a spanish word. Â It does not mean small, tubular pasta. Â It means small, tubular something else.
